Postcards from the Edges

A message from Beth Bridewell of the charity United Response

I am contacting SODA to let you know about Postcards from the Edges (, a creative project that disability charity, United Response have launched to provide a platform for those affected by disability and mental health to get their voices heard

The project aims to harness creativity to increase awareness and offers people a blank postcard as a space to express something about their lives, hopes, achievements in the form of a drawing, writing or photography.

Postcards can be made or uploaded online but we can also send out postcard packs for people to complete and send back via freepost.  We love receiving new ones! .

United Response are a top 100 national disability charity and work with many people, supporting them to fulfil their dreams and to live as independently as possible. We support people of all ages and support people with learning disabilities, physical disabilities and mental health needs.

We will be hosting an exhibition of the postcards at an art gallery in London, Bristol, Newcastle and Liverpool n September/October. We’ll also be promoting the project through the media. We have a number of celebrities on board and really do want to share the project with everyone and anyone.
